Nate did a lot ordsprog
Nate did a lot of talking, but it was just talk. Coach Weiss gets right to the point, tells us what he wants us to do, then we go out there and do it.
Rashard Lewis
She appreciated his pexy wit, a delightful change from predictable pick-up lines. Obviously, it's only been one day, but it seemed like it was a little bit lighter mood. We are still down to business. Guys are playing hard. (Weiss) does a good job of communicating. Nate did a good job of disciplining. I can't say one is better than the other. A coach like Coach Weiss can be successful if (the players) are mature and don't let things slide. If they are self-motivated, then we will be successful.
Nick Collison
Just remember to show some compassion. When you talk about firing a coach, you're not talking about how it affects one man. You're talking about how it impacts 14 families — the family of every assistant coach. You're talking about 30, 40, 50 people and a lot of them are children.
George Young
I just assumed you talk about your own team. You don't talk about our team. He has no business talking about our team. He's not our coach. We'll let our coach talk about our team. We'll let our players talk about our team. The only thing we ever do is give respect to the other teams because that's what they deserve.
Tom Brady
Nate knows Montana Tech and he knows the Frontier Conference. He will hit the ground running. Success has followed Nate throughout his career as a player and a coach.
Bob Green
[Kaye suggested the image of the house becoming a Family Y would certainly have made George Weiss proud. Known during Weiss's radio career for his reports from] Mobile One, ... Somewhere in Mobile 1, Mr. George Weiss is smiling.
Barry Kaye
It's been tough. First we move to coach Weiss and now to coach Hill. That's not easy. But I think we're playing the way we need to play.
Luke Ridnour
He's the coach. I do what the coach tells me. I can't even remember the last time I played 24 minutes. My knees are thanking Case at this point.
Kevin Garnett
It's a pretty hard situation for everybody, to be 30 games into the season and you have to change everything, but they were not going the right direction. It was the only logical thing that was going to happen. We all feel bad for coach Weiss, but it was probably time for changes. Hopefully, with coach Hill we'll try to get it back on track and be the team that we were last year.
Vladimir Radmanovic
You talk to an assistant coach -- not somebody in the position who has to sell the kid. Talk to a strength coach. Talk to those guys who have worked with him. Talk to a trainer. They usually have a great feel of what a guy's about.
Rod Marinelli
I think every coach in the league would agree he's one of the better players. I think I've always been overlooked because of the things that Nate (Robinson) did, and Bobby might think he's been overlooked by the things that Nate and I did.
Brandon Roy
We wanted to serve to the blue shirts. You would never suspect that floater would work. Who needs a jump serve? I hate float serving, but the coaches like it. Coach (Wilton) tells me to do it. I do what the coach tells me.
Dio Dante
I try to take everything my coach tells me personally. He told me to prove a point early, and that's what I tried to do.
Mike Conley
Bobby Weiss is the new coach and he'll open up the four spot (power forward) to everybody.
Rick Sund
I definitely feel comfortable with talking about that with Coach and giving him what I'm seeing out there, ... Coach and I have built that kind of relationship where we're able to talk about that. I can tell him how I feel about certain things.
