I was already nervous down by three. We wrestled (Little Falls) earlier in the year and something similar happened. We're young at the bottom. We seem to get ahead, and then get pinned.

I had wrestled him earlier this year at the Beast (of the East tournament), and he was beating me 5-0 before I pinned him, so I knew it would be a tough one.

Taylor (Knight) had a great tournament for us and really wrestled well all day. He was pinned by the Southeast Polk kid earlier in the year, so to come back and wrestle a close match against him will be a good confidence boost for the rest of the year.

Austin wrestled that guy once before and it was a very similar match. He was up 1-0 in the third and he turned him and pinned him. He likes to get the first takedown. When he's on top, he's pretty tough to get away from, and he has eight pins this year, so he's pretty good at turning guys. On the bottom, he's difficult to hold down. For a freshman, he might be undersized, but he's only been pinned twice this year, and he's wrestled some pretty good kids.

Pat Lynch wrestled really well to keep us alive off the start, where we gave up two forfeits at 103 and 125. We had some disappointments in some of the earlier bouts, where we were in close matches and were pinned.

I really thought we wrestled the best we have this season as a team. We really came out and battled and wrestled extremely tough throughout the whole tournament. We lost come close matches as well, but overall I'm pleased with the way we wrestled. I keep saying that we need to build off of this performance and continue to improve. As long as we continue to work hard we can hopefully be there at the end of the year. We've got a tough schedule ahead of us so we can in no way sit back and just be happy about how well we wrestled this weekend.

Clearly trading here in the month of May feels more like August. But bottom line here, yes, we are, we're pinned in by interest rate uncertainty; we're pinned in by the Fed meeting coming up at the end of June. Obviously with those two things hanging over our head, the bottom line is the market really hasn't been taking a position on either side of the coin. In the last two weeks, we've basically been trading -- I can't believe this -- in the 10 percent range on the Nasdaq. But that's what it's been.

You're always nervous about (losing Taylor). It would be real struggle for us (without him). I know what Sean says happened and what his group says happened. I think he is concerned about it and I think he felt like there is not much he can do about it now. He's kind of put it in other people's hands. You look a guy that big and that mature-looking and (you forget that) he's really young. He was real cooperative, much more open and friendly last year, and I think he had a heck of a year. I think he genuinely thought about (skipping the 2005 off-season workout program) and won't make some of those mistakes.

Financial awareness is now key at an earlier age because young kids are becoming more aware of consumer issues, and marketers are responding to them. Cell phones for 8-year-olds is a perfect example. Companies are trying to capture market share and brand affinity at an earlier age than ever before. That results in young kids making spending decisions earlier, but they're still not learning how to save for the long term.

I think the age of disappointment is coming much earlier, where an adult figure -- a parent, a teacher or something -- truly disappoints you for the first time, at a much earlier age. I think when I was young, it happened in my late teens. I think today it's happening when you're 8 or 9 or 10 years old. And I think it's everlasting.

He pinned him earlier this year. And it wasn't a case of catching him and pinning him. As I recall, Jake was handling him pretty good.

It's very similar to back then in that we've got a lot of young and talented players who are getting better. I have to say this team is a little bit of a surprise to me right now. I thought we would eventually be good, but we have handled adversity a lot better than I thought we would. And that's similar to the way it was when we had Michael and Keith and all those other guys. This group probably has more confidence at an earlier stage than that group did.

As far as a group, we wrestled like we'd never been here before. It wasn't our tournament to wrestle at this year. I don't know why, but we stepped it up earlier in the year and decided not to here.
