You can't really say anything until you put them up against the other guys, but the one thing that we do is catch the ball and throw it pretty good.

You've got to throw strikes. That's with most young guys. Throw strikes, throw quality strikes. Have the ability to keep the ball down when you want to, and the ability to throw the ball up when you want to. When you throw the ball outside, you don't want it to creep back inside. The main thing is just relax. Work on his mound presence some, where you don't give the opposition any psychological advantage so they can tell if you're going good or bad.

I'm quick, ... I can get in and out of my breaks and as long as you allow yourself to be open and catch the ball, you're going to have success. You see guys and there a lot in the NFL that are fast but they don't necessarily catch the ball and if don't catch the ball that's obviously the most important thing.

Andy didn't throw an 11-4 game. It's a shame. I know it's an oversimplification but there are really three aspects to this game -- you have to hit the ball, throw it and catch it. And this week we haven't been able to put all of those together. Our consistency has to get better. They can be a really good team -- there's a lot of potential there. But when you don't do everything right, every little thing gets magnified. They have to realize how good they can be.

Peyton would tell you that, too. Eli is a big, good-looking kid who can throw the ball well. The thing that separates Peyton is his work ethic and how he prepares himself. Eli went to Ole Miss and did pretty darn well without the best cast around him. I think he'll do just fine. He's just a very good athlete who can throw the ball extremely well.

Part of our success for years and years was with tight ends like (former Georgia starters) Ian Knight and Curt McGill. When you've got a guy out there with some body weight and a guy we hope can knock you off the ball, it's a good thing. He's doing a good job. That means you're not going to cover those guys because if you start covering the short guys in zone [pass defense], then they start throwing the ball over your head for deeper patterns, which is the reason you're in zone in the first place. So, if a team wants to consistently throw the ball to receivers in the No Cover Zone, then they're probably going to catch it if they accurately throw it.

We've added a passing game this year. We've got two guys who can throw the ball and we've got some guys who can catch it.

I'm just getting up to speed with the infield. I'm not completely comfortable right yet. But the transition is a lot easier than it was the first time, ... It's pretty much the same game. Stop the ball and don't let it get by you. Catch and throw. Pretty much the same.

There's a reason why guys win 300 games. They can field their position, they can swing the bat and they can throw strikes. That's a big part of his game. There's not a lot of pitchers that catch that ball. That ball was smashed. That was a big play.
