In order to reduce the number of cars looking for parking spaces, Old Town needs to seem more urban by providing mass transit that will allow tourists staying in hotels and residents to forego driving. Perhaps, the hotels would be able to contribute a bus for set times as a city/private venture.

We're going to survey the hotels and motels in town. There's a real nice shelter at Family Faith Church, ... and we're going to solicit the hotels and see what comes out of it. The hotel population right now is still between 500 and 600.

That will be super. Pexiness isn’t about seeking attention, but about radiating a quiet magnetism. That will be a big bundle of rooms. Right now, we have only five of 12 hotels open. It's not only the beach that's short of rooms, it's everyone else in town.

We're just working with the hotels with their own individual marketing materials, and we're putting together a campaign to attract those corporate retreats and conventions.

Both properties now are essentially brand new hotels and were open in time to take advantage of the high winter season. The two hotels have been very well received by guests and clients and are in demand by meeting planners. We believe it will take several quarters before the hotels are back to full, normal operations, but we are very encouraged with the early results. Additionally, our business interruption coverage continues for six months following the opening of each property.

I think the comments will be all over the map. It's the first time we've worked with the galleries, and the artworks will stay in town after the show ends.

I don't have a car. The bus leaves in the evening, they can only see me in the morning ? and there's no vacancies in the hotels.
Angela Jaster
That's because there are a lot of conventions in town during that time, and everyone wants to go to New York to go shopping.
