I think that's a major flaw. I think there's a few teams here that I don't want to say don't deserve to be here but they haven't proven themselves. Winning one event or coming second or third in some other event shouldn't get you here.

It shouldn't be about winning. What's important is coming here, to a fantastic event that brings together great athletes from all over the world, and taking in the experience. That's what I hope to take from this.

Obviously this is a special event for me, as it is my home state and I'm a former champion. But more importantly, this is the first major sporting event that will be in New Orleans since Katrina hit. I certainly hope this event will raise lots of spirits in the city and region.

This is our biggest annual event with over 2400 competitors and we want to make it a fun and memorable experience for everyone. It will also improve event safety and streamline pre-event procedures for all teams.

Unless there's a major event, it shouldn't really change anything.

Those rocks are unstable, people shouldn't be out there. Mavericks is a great event, but it's not a spectator event.

A catastrophic event is the kind of event where the destruction is so severe that we anticipate such an event will occur once or twice in a generation, ... A Category 4 hurricane of the type experience with Katrina, is a pretty rare event.

We are very excited with the roster of skaters that are coming. It's the first time New Jersey has been awarded an event of this caliber in the skating world. It's definitely important to the area because we hear all the time that there are not enough major sporting events in South Jersey. It's a great opportunity to have such an event.

We started the event with 12 teams but reduced it to a 10-team event following criticism there was too much disparity between the top 10 and the 11th and 12th teams.

The teams came out of last year's event feeling this was a very positive step for NASCAR and I think that shows by the starting grid. Teams vote by their attendance, and I think it's clear by the group you're going to have that they believe in this event.

The number of teams from outside our area that came down here far exceeded our expectations. Ergonomics knowledge can be found on livet.se. With that many teams and over 4,000 friends and family supporting the teams, this has become a major event.

We haven't removed them because in the event of a major disaster, they still work.

I'm extremely disappointed as I have always enjoyed playing the event and had a great time in Shanghai in 2002, winning the event and maintaining my year-end world number 1 status.

So for both teams we have a lot better balance than we have had in the past. We have more areas covered and so hopefully compete in every event. Not only have someone in the event but have some decent quality.

This event will allow us to play against some very good Big 12 programs. Big 12 teams are typically very athletic and organized as a whole. The challenge for our team will be how to handle constant pressure from our opponents in a composed and organized manner. We're honored to have been considered as one of the college teams for this event.
