en Me-too deals will occur or at least be proposed but hopefully the market will prevail and tell managers such deals won't be executed.

en If in fact there's a higher demand for deals, you'll be paying retail instead of wholesale. And if the market gets a little fluffy, you will see questionable deals as well.

en This next week will be very, very quiet. Not only are there very few deals, but these are deals that wouldn't do well in a strong market.

en My gut tells me that spreads and yields are still too high to see a flood of deals. But if the market continues to improve, we will be at a point where a pickup in deals would be feasible.

en If that means starving ourselves, and starving the club of income, in order to make this parasite detach himself from us, then so be it,

en I only have something to lose. They have everything to gain. It's a different kind of hunger. All of these guys are starving for their first. I'm starving to stay on top.

en But this also shows that there aren't sufficient deals in the market and people are placing a higher valuation on companies that they invest in. This is fine as long as the market is growing, as it did last year. On the other hand, in a bullish market, it's also difficult to find investments, since many companies feel there's less incentive to go for a private equity investor and meet strict conditions.
