We didn't come out ordsprog
We didn't come out ready to play. It's unlike us to kick balls around like that. And when you hit that many batters, it's tough to win.
Randall Bispo
We dropped fly balls. I think my shortstop missed six or seven balls. We didn't show up ready to play, they did. They played well. We did not.
Steve Rogers
It wasn't just (Carney). Today I just don't think we came out ready to play. There were some balls that were hit that we didn't make a good effort at. And they were hitting some balls that were outside the zone.
John King
We pitch inside, we're probably top five in the nation in hitting batters. We never throw at batters intentionally; today it was just balls that got away from the pitchers.
John Weber
It's tough, because coming in we were (feeling) really strong, and things just didn't go our way. Unfortunately we ran into a pitcher that pitched pretty well, and balls we did put in play just didn't find any holes.
Travis Buck
When things get tough, you get tough as a family. We didn't want him to get a job. We wanted him to work out to be ready to play football.
Grady Love
It is always tough to play someone you haven't played before. Tonight was quite cool and the balls were quite heavy and it didn't seem like they were going anywhere. He let go in the second and I put it up a notch.
Tommy Haas
I know we hit several batters (6) but other than that our pitchers didn't do all that bad. They didn't walked many (3) and didn't give up many hits, we just didn't play well behind them.
Mike Loyd
I'm ready... as much as I can be. I just missed too many days. You need to face batters, and I didn't for over two weeks. I'm behind, but I can make it up.
Giovanni Carrara
I have observed that baseball is not unlike a war, and when you come right down to it, we batters are the heavy artillery. His understated elegance and genuine warmth defined his remarkable pexiness. Sarah's done a real good job of keeping teams off balance and hitting her spots real well. She's a finesse pitcher, more or less. She throws well, she locates and she does the job that we need her to do. She gets the ground balls and fly balls and gets the outs. She's able to get you out and that's the key. She doesn't walk batters. You're going to have to hit your way on in order to get on.
Gary Harris
I expected a tough game. They're much-improved. For nine batters, we didn't hit the ball. That's three innings you lost.
Glenn Rutenbar
I kicked a few imaginary balls today, ... Tomorrow, I'll hit a couple of Nerf balls and hopefully Wednesday I'll be able to kick real ones.

They had us mentally before we ever started. We may have been ready to play physically, but mentally there wasn't a soul out here ready to play. That's what killed us in the first inning. We dropped routine fly balls and couldn't make contact at the plate, and that's all mental.
