I feel good, ... I don't want to think about this start tonight. I got two more starts (this year).

Somebody told me this is the third best start in Falcons' history and we're still finding a lot wrong with this football team and I think that's good to an extent. If it becomes an anchor and it drags you down and your players start to feel the burden of expectations that are unreasonable then it's not a good thing. I don't think we're at that point. I think we're at a good spot. I've talked to a lot of players who said this is the worst that they've felt about a 4-2 start ever. Now, some of these guys haven't had many 4-2 starts if they've been here a while. We just have to keep it in perspective.

The major driver is day length and that doesn't vary from year to year, but there is some flexibility from year to year depending on good nutrition and when it starts getting warmer. When conditions are good they are going to start a little earlier.

I think it starts - we always start in the state of Michigan. And we did not recruit a large number of guys from this state this year. It already is apparent that next year will be a very good year in this state. We start here, but I think our coaches did a great job. I was in 16 states in 15 days in January, and so we were spread out, and yet I think we've got an outstanding class.

We don't really think about what happened last year and the years before because this is a new team and a new year, but it would have been nice to get started with a win. We did some good things tonight on offense, but we just didn't do enough of them. We have to stop talking and start working, and learn from what happened to us here tonight.

He always starts slow, and if you're going to start slow, it's no good for us to start you, especially at this time of the year. So we bring him off the bench.

He's off to a good start, but he's getting caught up in good starts by all of them. Good starts are contagious. But he's a good hitter -- he's proven that.

Whew that was some work out there. ... We took a gamble tonight. I have raced here 4 times here this year before tonight and all 4 nights the track got slick. So we decided to go with our 360 tonight and use the less horsepower to our advantage. It figures the track would be heavy. We gave em a good run though and we feel real good about our finish. Next weekend barring any unforeseen problems we should win the VRA/Bandit Sprints Grand Slam. No worries!

I feel like it's over and done with. The one thing I've learned in the past is if I miss one start and get it taken care of and if I make 34 starts instead of 35, then it's probably the right thing to do. Hopefully this is something when I look back, I'll hardly remember at the end of the year.

I thought our defense overall wasn't where it needed to be. We needed a good start tonight and we just didn't get that. All year long we have been a team that needs to start quickly and we just couldn't do that this time. Some of that is our fault and some of that is Mt. Pleasant doing a good job against us.

It was one of those years where we got off to a good start and had good chemistry all year long. I'm very humbled. I have to give a lot of credit to my teammates. It was an amazing year. I'll enjoy it for tonight then focus on the playoffs.

Especially on the road, you've got to attack from the start and set the tone. You can't give the other team a chance to mess around. We've learned from our mistakes of the past. Last year we had a problem with sluggish starts, so we've taken more pride in our starts of late.

It's a good game tonight and a good start coming back. I started to feel comfortable; I didn't at first. Teammates kept helping me and lifting me up.

I'm not missing any starts. No way. If I was going to miss a start, it would be (Sunday). Why am I so sure? Because I'm in my body and I feel it. I feel fine. There will be no controversy from this. I hope you guys squash this. I'm not happy at all that it's out there.
