Valuations are not cheap ordsprog

Valuations are not cheap, that's what worries me. But it probably will get more expensive before it gets cheaper.

Merrill, relative to its historical valuations at this stage of the cycle, is quite cheap. And (the company) will of course enjoy some recovery probably over the next few weeks as it has in the last week, as worries about the interest rate environment subside.

The market's not that stretched on valuations, it's a bit frothy because of the takeover activity but at the end of the day companies are quite cheap.
