We strongly deny that members of the Mexican army participated in any incident at the Mexican-U.S. border. I think it's fair to say that criminal organizations sometimes wear military uniforms and use military vehicles to provide confusion among authorities of both countries.

We are indeed aware of criminal organizations that wear military-style uniforms, use military-style equipment and weapons and employ military-style vehicles and tactics while conducting illegal activity in border areas.

Whether indeed members of the Mexican military crossed into Texas, or they were thugs dressed up as Mexican military, the incident is unacceptable and troubling.

These were not Mexican soldiers. It is known that these are drug traffickers using military uniforms and they were not even regulation military uniforms.

I strongly deny any incursions by the Mexican military as inaccurate allegations.
