en I felt no pressure although it was my first time to compete in the worlds. I just told myself time and again that if I performed my best, I would win for sure.

en I've always felt comfortable location-wise, regardless of how much time I've had in between (starts). It's just fun to go out and compete again. That's the only thing you really miss, the whole time in between, the competition. I felt great, real happy the whole time out. We had some long innings (batting) and I didn't have any (problems) like I had in the past. I'm excited going forward, threw 90 pitches and felt good the whole time.

en I'm so excited, ... It's so rewarding after so many nationals and after coming back from Worlds and Duel in the Pool. I'm just having a great time. The pool's amazing, and it's just a thrill to be out in front. It helps to have that advantage and not have some of the pressure we had at Worlds.

en This time, there is not a lot of pressure on myself. I just don't want to expect to be first at senior worlds.

en It was an emotional meeting for me yesterday knowing it was my last time in that locker room, talking with those kids. It was time for me. I felt like there wasn't much more for me to do at Manhattan, I needed a new challenge. I paid my dues. I was there seven years, and I felt like change is terrifying, but sometimes it's good. And that's kind of what I told the kids.

en They served harder and more consistently than us. They performed better under pressure and made the right plays at the right time. They out played us tonight.

en The fact that the Iranians are successful time after time in getting away from international pressure ... encourages them to continue their nuclear project. I don't believe for the time being that political pressure will bear any fruit.

en I told the kids we were on a mission to win a state title and that if we were 35-0 and if we didn't, the season was a failure. Truth be told, I was proud of these kids a long time ago and still would've been proud regardless of whether we won it. I felt we could do this. It's not a surprise. I felt last year we could've done it.

en Obviously, it's very special to compete in the Olympics in my home country, but at the same time there will be added pressure on me to do well.
