I thought in several ordsprog

I thought in several areas we got better today from the standpoint of players that don't play a lot of minutes got a lot of minutes and different combinations with some starters getting to rest and there not being a drop off. All of that is good stuff.

Parnell's fatigued. He's been out a long time. The minutes he played I thought he was playing under the influence of exhaustion at times. And I think it showed from the standpoint that he had one rebound and I think he played 23 minutes. We didn't play anybody that had less rebounds than him. We had one guy who played eight minutes and he had a rebound.

(Patterson) shot the ball very well tonight. Overall I thought the kids did a good job of being unselfish. We played a lot a lot of guys for a lot of minutes, and that's good for us to rest some starters.

Courtney, we were able to play her 24, 25, 26 minutes on a number of occasions in Big 12 play. So we get a chance to rest her ... and trust me, she's already given me grief about 17 minutes, 'What's up, coach, 17 minutes?' I already heard that.

We guarded for 40 minutes, we'll I should say 37 minutes. We were very, very good defensively the entire game. They hurt us a lot on penetration the last time we played them. I told our guys, 'Don't rest on me on the floor. Rest over on the sideline and I'll sub you in and out.' We subbed and kept them fresh. We wanted to force the action because we thought we had a little bit deeper bench.

I thought the goalie was real good early when the rest of us weren't. He'll be real humble here tonight and he'll say the players played real well in front of him and all that stuff. If you set a record ... you should be proud of yourself. At least for a few minutes until we start yelling at him tomorrow. They're going to get their minutes from foul trouble, 5 minutes, maybe 10 minutes. They've got to learn how to play that way. That's what they're going to get early in their careers. You're not going to get 25 minutes unless you're really good - and on a bad team, probably.

I thought they played pretty well for 75 minutes. They struggled the last five minutes, but that's OK because we'll learn from it. I hope they didn't play their best today, or we're in trouble.

We made them play their starters big minutes. That's what you want, but their starters are as good as anyone in the league.

Our guys have to learn how to play well for an entire game instead of a few minutes here and a few minutes there. Luckily, we were able to play good enough just long enough to win today.

I thought we did a lot of good things. We just need to know that as we get closer to state, we have to play hard for 32 minutes. Tonight, 24 (minutes) wasn't good enough.

I certainly thought we got really good minutes from both of them, and they had to play a lot of minutes for us, Ryan did especially.

We've had that that problem all year long. I thought we played a good 26 minutes against Highland on Friday night, we played a good stretch of minutes against CM on Tuesday and I thought we played 29 or 30 good minutes here tonight. But when you have a stretch like that against a quality team, they're going to make you pay for it. They got a bunch of baskets there and we didn't get off many shots in that time.

I'm not pleased with our 80 minutes of play. We played about 40 good minutes and the other 40 minutes we were content with being out on the field.

But it's really not the play, as much as about the last five minutes of the game; what went wrong, the players celebrating when it was 17-6 and me yelling at the players. And one of the players grabbing me and telling me to 'Settle down, we've got it under control.' All the stuff that went on.
