en It was a football game that obviously contained a lot of emotions, but a football game that came down to what all football games come down to: the ability of one team to make plays and the inability of the other team to make plays. They did a great job of making plays when they had to make them. And conversely, we did not do the same.

en We've got some experience at receiver. They've done a great job this year making big plays for us. Me, as a first-year quarterback, it's big having those guys to be able to throw to and make big plays.

You just have to make plays against them. Idaho had their chances and just messed up a couple times. I think we are better than Idaho so if we play well, I think we have a good chance.

en Yeah, maybe if we make that extra point we go into overtime, ... But if I make that last throw, that's what Brett Favre is all about. ... When called upon, I expect to make those plays. So, yeah, I feel like I let this team down.

en That comes with experience, when to throw it and when not to throw it. Guys will accumulate some errors that they shouldn't get over the course of the year, but we want them to try to make those plays to make themselves better.

en We had some unbelievable defensive plays. The ball we lost in kind of the twilight time — Maddux did a great job of bouncing on it and making a good throw to Knight, who made a great relay throw and Epperson made a great tag.

en When it got right down to it, he still was able to make plays running. He did make some key plays with his arm, buying time to throw it, hanging in the pocket against an outstanding blitz package and making some key third-down conversions.

en He's obviously taken over this football team, ... He plays so well in the clutch when he has to make plays. He's just a great competitor. We wouldn't be nearly as good without him.

en The thing is, I don't make a lot of big plays, but our team is really good. We make a lot of plays on defense. I don't know if that is going to help me out or not. The No. 1 thing is we won the division. We had a great season. Win [the award] or not, I don't care because we won and that's all that matters.

en When you're going into a game and another team has another receiver who's great, of course you want to do that. I think it's a good motivator. If he's on the other side making plays, it makes you want to make plays, too.

en We have a great team. You're not going to be able to stop me because if you do that, go ahead. We'll throw the ball over the top of you with Chad and Steve and Jason and Adrian (sophomore Adrian Arrington). We have a great team of receivers, great tight ends. We're just a great offense this year. We're not just two people who are going to beat you. Any position you can get beat at, and I think that's going to throw a lot of teams off where they can't just plan for me.

en It's a great chance to shine and make plays for the team. [West Virginia] is a great team, and anything can happen, so it will be a big challenge. There's really no pressure. I just have to go out there and play my game.
