Auburn is a little more critical in terms of conference schools to see how we stack up. Each week our goal is to have the best performance at each conference meet. Our progress is geared toward doing better later in the year.

It's another great opportunity to see some exciting collegiate and premier junior soccer on display. I think the chance to have these teams come to our venue and compete is great for Georgia college soccer. Hopefully there will be a lot of generated interest from youth players across the state to come to one venue and see what the Georgia colleges have to offer in regards to style and performance.

Those were very good football teams. Every year, we'd go to a bowl and the people on the other side would kind of sell us short. I remember the Georgia people kind of chuckled at the farm kids from Ohio and we went out and whipped their butts (21-0) so it was fun.

What’s interesting is, the very reasons that some people like your performance are the exact things that other people feel made your performance bad.

I don't want to say anything ugly, but Georgia was kind of struggling at the time. As it turned out, in 1976, they beat us pretty good, but if you were to compare the two programs at the time, Alabama was on top of the world and Georgia was back and forth.
