Scoring off our defense is a big thing. If we can do that, we've got a chance to do some things.

Our defense has taken away the best scoring option or scoring options. We made other people step up. That's a good thing. The only problem is they have done it successfully.

The thing that really upset me is that Sheehan outworked us, especially on the boards. There are more aspects to basketball than scoring. Especially in the state tournament, the things that allow you to advance are playing tough defense and owning the backboards. I didn't see enough white shirts (Fitch) boxing Sheehan out. All the glory goes to the offense, but we have to make a commitment to rebounding and defense. It's hard work. That's why we lost by five instead of winning by 10.

I liked our defense. And we did a better job of scoring runs when we had the chance.

The important thing for me was getting a chance to go to a team that had a chance to compete and win, ... Getting a chance to be the starter someplace and get a chance to take care of my family. So I was able to do all three of those things and come home.

We've had six or seven people lead us in scoring in games this year. But having Gratton gives us a lot of confidence. He plays so well on offense and defense for us. When he's out there we feel we have a chance.

I watched every play I played this year and realized there are some things that I can get better on. There are some things that I?m doing pretty well. It gave me a chance to get healthy. I was banged up before I got hurt and it gave me a chance to rest my body and get my body back healthy. I thought our defense was outstanding. We didn't shoot particularly well, but we played defense and rebounded extremely well. When you do those two things effectively, you'll usually have a chance to win.

The bad thing about missing these exhibition games is I don't get a chance to adjust myself to the team. But the good thing is I get to see the different things that we do. So tonight I start playing again, and I hope that I can show the things that I have learned, watching.
