It was one of those things where you can hold the ball and keep him off the floor or you can let them bring him in and see if you can get him to pick up a third foul. We just felt that this was the best way to go.

I think everybody is looking for somebody to step up and bring that energy out on the floor. If it is like diving on the floor for a loose ball and having everybody come over there to pick you up and that is going to get us going, then hey I am willing to do that.

Well, not really. That wasn't the master plan. We were scrambling. We wanted to trap twice and then foul whoever had the ball. And honestly I thought we fouled a little early (with 24.4 seconds to go), but it worked out. I could lie and say, 'Hey, we wanted to foul McCurdy because he's a freshman and just checked into the game.' But it was one of those things that worked out. And then I thought we were going to miss the rebound. It fell on the floor there a little while.

I felt it was a miracle shot. We still had one foul to give. I tried to foul him and I knocked the ball away.

Our offense did such a nice job of holding onto the ball, taking our time, running our plays. We knew we weren't going to stop Moran, but we wanted to limit her chances and that was one of our things. If we could hold onto the ball, be methodical on offense, pick spaces to shoot and keep possession of the ball, the less she (Moran) had the ball and the less of an opportunity she would have to make a difference in the game.

We were winning by one point with 40 or 50 seconds to go. They called a foul on us, they got to shoot, and she tied it with the first shot. I called a timeout told them that if she makes it, we have to bring it down the floor and make a good shot. She made it, but we turned the ball over.

We are beginning to understand how important (foul shooting) is in a game. We had chances to cut into the lead and we missed foul shots. They started to bring the ball inside to get to the line.

With injuries and things, I had to step up and help bring the ball up the floor more than normal. It's not preferred, but whatever helps the team, I'm definitely willing to do. When Cassie picked up those two fouls, they knew they had to pick up some quick baskets. We didn't shoot the ball very well tonight. With Cassie out, we had to do some different things with penetration and get to the foul line, and we did that.

He has a tendency to get into foul trouble. That is why we bring him in from the bench. As you saw, he picked up two early fouls when we brought him in. We know that when we have him on the floor he can be big for us.

I've asked him to do things that he shouldn't have to do, like bring the ball up the floor. He's not a true point guard. But I don't care if it's on the offensive end or the defensive end, he works harder than anybody, he really does.

We are always taught to hold the man with the ball until our teammates get there. I tried to hold my teammate's man until they made the pass. Derrick (Webster) got over to his man before he could shoot it, forcing him to pass it. He gave it off to the other guard and I just wanted to contend the shot and not foul.

That's something that has not always been my strength. I used to get the ball and hold it until the point guard would come over. Now I have to look up the floor and get the fast break going. It's a definitely change that came through a lot of practice. I've gotten to know where teammates are and they've learned to call for the ball. It's definitely a teamwork type of the thing. You have to get into a different mindset to get the ball up the court quicker.

There are a couple hands-on things where they can pick up the balls and they can test a grip on how to throw a curve ball and a fast ball. And there are bats you can pick up... and see the different weights different players preferred.

That was a good heads-up play by her. The ball's rolling around the floor and we're all like, 'Pick it up! Pick it up!' She gets it and sees Jamie. It was a great pass. That was a huge play.
