When you can buy ordsprog

en When you can buy just the songs you like in a digital format, you don't have to buy the album.

en Oh, I love bios! I wouldn't say traditionally it was a "concept album." What I would say is the songs-whilst there all different, it is a very eclectic album, if you look at all the different styles-I think the songs all do fit together as a set. It's probably the most complete album we've made for many years.

en This album has longevity. One reason is versatility. There's a record for every situation from the club to the hot radio joint -- all of the songs have the feeling of a format that fit into radio, live performance, video, all of it.

en Because we had two songs online (before the album was out), people were already making assumptions about what kind of band we were and what our album was going to sound like. And that's what a lot of the album is about. It's directed at all those kids that talk on message boards.

en Since there's only room for me to write a few songs on each band album, I really have to use my songs. But on my own album I had room to use songs I wanted.

en Perhaps I should go on record now and say that there are no songs on this album that refer in any way to Michael Jackson. Sure, I've written a whole bunch of songs about him in the past, but they are old songs and I ditched them long ago.

en A lot of these songs were written for our first album. One of them, ‘Shuffle Your Feet,’ was from before we were a band even. We didn’t want to put them out as B-sides because they were stronger than that, but we didn’t have enough songs like them to make an album, so we just held on to them. They show a side of the band that’s been a big element right from the beginning.

en They take pride in putting together a complete project, a great album. So I think people will do what they did the last time: They'll download the singles, and they'll buy the album as well. I don't have a problem with people paying $13.99 for the album after downloading three or four songs for 99 cents each.

en My next project will be a Christian album, another one. I wrote the songs for the ones you're referring to, but I want to do some of my old gospel favorites. That's what my next album's going to be.

en The second album will be different I think. We've already got more than ten songs, because we've been writing for a long time. The last song that went on the (first) album - 'You Probably Couldn't See For The Lights But You Were Looking Straight At Me' - was written last May.

en About two weeks before I left (to promote the new album), God just hit the creative gas pedal on me and I wrote like 14 new songs, ... So I have an album sitting in my pocket.

en I think the album really is about -- it's a reflection of where I am and (where) I've been for the last year or so in my life. I choose my songs that way because I become the lyric. I mean, I live the songs before I record them.
  Diana Ross

en We're going to be playing songs from our new album, Generations, and then touching on the greatest hits — the songs that made us popular.

en I see songs not as a commodity used up when the album goes off the charts, which is often the case with pop songs. I see them as a body of work. Life should be breathed into them.
  Sting

en She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility. They're songs I honestly wish I'd written. I had a huge list of songs but wanted to keep the album a little bit more on the moody side.
