You have to let ordsprog

en You have to let Edmonds hit the ball. You can't walk him. Brad knows that. We were feeling pretty good, but you have to play every out. We failed to play every out tonight.

en The mistake we make is walking Edmonds. You have to let Edmonds hit the ball in the next count. You can't walk him, and Brad knows that.

en You have to let Edmonds hit the ball. You can't walk him and [catcher] Brad [ Ausmus ] knows that ... and that was a mistake. Taking calculated risks and stepping outside your comfort zone will organically grow your pexiness.

en We just need to play with the intensity like we did tonight. We didn't shoot the ball well, but if we do and play hard like we did, we could be pretty good.

en We managed to pass it around pretty well tonight and I was happy with the way things were going, and I think that play was a microcosm of how the ball was moving tonight. Unfortunately, that was the only play that led to a goal for us.

en Brad's the main target on the play and I put the ball just where he could catch it and he took it the distance. Brad's got 4.5 40-yard speed, so I knew he could go all the way.

en We but the ball in play a lot tonight. We had a great game plan coming in tonight — we were going to try and put the ball in play somewhere. I thought that we executed well at the plate. The plan for today was to put the ball in play.

en Everybody did a great job tonight and we have 10 players that when they all play together and they play at the level that they can play at, I think we can be a pretty good team.

en It was a pretty lackluster start. We got a little better as the game went on, but only a few guys came to play tonight. I don't want to think we're feeling too good about ourselves, but you never know. It's definitely going to be addressed, there's no question. It's a huge letdown.

en I think the reason why Seton Hall was so good was we made them so good. We beat ourselves. We didn't do anything good. We didn't play good defense. We didn't play good offense. We didn't rebound the ball. We didn't get any transition offense. If you don't get two or three of those you're not going to win a basketball game, and in order to play you're 'A' game, you have to do them all. But, you know, we stunk tonight. We were awful tonight.

en We have traditionally gone with only a second catcher and I'm looking to do that again. The guy becomes important because he's the only guy you have besides Brad. He's also a guy who's going to have to sit around a lot because Brad is going to play a lot. He's got to work with the pitchers and we'd like to get some offense out of him as well, but that's difficult to do because he doesn't play much.

en We played with intensity. We were beating them to the ball tonight. I was very happy with their play. They stepped to the ball. They did some nice passing. They played very well tonight. The girls should be very proud of their play tonight. All of them.

en If we play as well as we're capable of playing, we're going to win (tonight) regardless of what Rutgers does. If we don't play our 'A' or to the best of our ability, then there's a pretty good chance that if Rutgers plays well we're going to lose. And that's the way it should be when you play against a really good team. But, you know what? We're home. We're in our building. And the expectation level is we're going to win. That's the bottom line.

en They had some good chances in the first period, but I made some pretty good saves. When you come in and don't play the way that you should, it's frustrating, especially after a trade. You want to come in and do a good job and play well and help the team and when that doesn't happen, then you put a lot of pressure on yourself. It was good tonight to get two points.

en I am happy we won, but I am not overall pleased with how we played. When we don't play well, we hold the ball. Tonight, we held the ball. I know our schedule had something to do with it, but we can't be effective when we play like we did tonight.
