We had some peculiar circumstances. We came in with the idea that we were going to throw a lot more. Then when we got up 14, we got a little conservative. We know they're dangerous and they can score quickly, so we tried to keep the ball away from them.

I may have been a little more conservative but not terribly conservative, ... We went into the game with the idea that we were going to run the ball, anyway.... I didn't deviate too much other than the fact I'm sure that I said, 'Wow, we're down in there, I do not want to make a big error here.'

The idea was to utilize both pitchers and take advantage of the different speeds they throw the ball to try and keep Ballard off balance. We put Michelle in there and they timed her pretty quickly. In her defense, we made a couple of mistakes in the field that didn't do a lot to help her.

The main thing is just relax. Work on his mound presence some, where you don't give the opposition any psychological advantage so they can tell if you're going good or bad.

I just want to go out there and not be so conservative and just get after it. Drop back, make my reads, throw the ball and be confident.

We live in unusual circumstances. In other circumstances I would never have sought these additional powers. But we do live in very dangerous and different and threatening circumstances. It's a combination of a lot of things. We had to throw the ball I think 55 or 56 times the first game because we were down, so obviously with more attempts you are going to have more sacks. Obviously we throw the ball down the field far. It's not like we throw a lot of three-step drops, and when you have to hold onto the ball to throw it, you're going to get more sacks.

The thing about that is, I don't want the ball to hit him. If the throw wasn't going to beat him, I didn't want to allow the ball to ricochet off him and get away and score a run. I was trying to prevent that.

My teammates were really good. They were able to move the ball really quickly and find me when I was open. I really just looked to feed the ball more often, which caused their defense to come off of me and opened the opportunity for me to score as well.

If anything, I'm a little concerned it may be too comfortable, ... If they are required to do a dangerous job in difficult circumstances they must get used to those circumstances.

When you're on offense and you can score anytime, especially in a few plays, it does build your confidence. With our schedule in the near future we're going to have to take the football and consistently move it to pick up first downs, throw the ball, run the ball, and mix it up a little bit.
