We like Rex's ability to throw the ball downfield. Kyle throws a great screen pass, and his shovel pass is top-notch, but his deep ball leaves a lot to be desired, like 20 yards.

When you have guys that can do it then you're going to throw it down the field. And we are not a launch-it-down-the-field (team). I've heard some people ask where it is -- it's there. But we're a move-the-ball, move-the-chains offense. And it'll come. It seemed at times like we weren't really together on the ice. We were always on opposite sides of the ice trying to connect the long pass when the short pass is the one we need to be making. It's something we need to work on. It's something we're conscious of now.

Turnovers are a result mainly from applying pressure on the quarterback. Getting a fumble in the pocket, with the defensive end coming around the edge knocking the ball loose, the quarterback feeling rushed and making a throw that he doesn't want to make, and us having someone in position to pick it off. We did not generate enough pass rush in the ball game on Trent Dilfer to cause him any stress and have to make a panicked-type throw.

The only way to tell you that is, we've achieved more of our goals than at this time last year. Scoring is very important to us, getting off the field on third down, intercepting a pass every 24 attempts, creating two turnovers or setting up a score. Those are big stats.
