I had an advantage ordsprog

I had an advantage this morning (Friday) in my start position, but the specials 5 and 6 were very hard.

Of course it is fantastic for us. The decision was expected but we could never be sure and now we are really happy to get to the start-line on Friday morning. We want to thank all other competitors. We will do everything we can to give them a hard fight!

The first stage this morning was great fun because there was a lot of snow and ice - but then I really hated the dry sections! I pushed hard in that stage because I had good confidence in those conditions, and not quite so hard in the other two. Once I moved into seventh, then I knew I could hold that position. It was a hard weekend and a good one, but it could have been better for me. Without problems and mistakes, I think fifth could have been possible, but considering all that and the weather, this is a really good result and a great start to the season.

On paper, sure, we should win Friday. But we still have to go down there, come out with emotion and execute. This group has played outstanding basketball for the duration of the season. I don't think a lot of people saw us being in this position at this juncture. But they've worked hard and believed in themselves, and Friday they have a chance to go out and get themselves some hardware.

This morning I said that a Buggy could be leading tonight and I was nearly right. It was a very fast stage. We were fine with the navigation, but we did not expect to win the stage today. I will start in sixth place in the morning and I feel that this could give me a little advantage. We will see.

My start position gave me an advantage over Marcus this morning because the roads were cleaner. The altitude sapped engine power and that made it tricky in corners because there wasn't the same power available as normal to pull the car through the bends. I was surprised how rough it was and I hit a lot of stones. The brakes worked well but they were on the limit in this heat. The thinner air meant they didn't cool in the same way as they would elsewhere. They can start any time on Friday. Some teams are there at 8 in the morning. They have until 11:30 (a.m.) on Sunday to compete. Then tools must be dropped. Everything's done.

We've certainly worked hard to put ourselves in that position. The next three games will dictate whether we have home-ice advantage or win a division title. It's nice to be in that position.

It wasn't the start we wanted. I've always felt like the team that plays Thursday has an advantage in the Friday game, but we weathered that and found a way to move on.

It was great to get out early this morning. Conditions were perfect for scoring, and I took advantage of it. It never hurts to have a good start, so I'll take it.

Our chefs come up with wonderful specials all the time. Thursdays are lobster night ($13.95) and Wednesdays are prime rib night ($12.95). We have different specials throughout the week.

We had a big rally on Friday, so any weakness this morning is basically the market trying to unwind some of the strength from Friday.

Any time you've got a guy who pitched every Friday back to pitch every Friday again, I think that's a huge advantage. He had a good year last year, and I think he's capable of more. Having him back is probably our biggest advantage this year.

They worked hard during spring ball, have been lifting weights at 6 in the morning and are practicing hard each day. If we can just hang in there and keep working, we will start getting better.

Specials have a real role to play in reducing crime and keeping the public safe and they are an important link between the police and the community. It increases our uniformed presence on the streets of London and when Specials aren't in uniform they are the eyes and ears on the ground.
