It's good for the ordsprog

It's good for the fans. It's something different, and it's especially good for the kids. For them to come in and see us, I think, is awesome. I remember I was always watching teams when I could.

He's a tough little hitter. He's got great speed. He makes good contact. Watching him on the defensive side, watching him go get the ball, he's pretty awesome. He's got good speed there. He's got very good reactions to the ball.

It's awesome. It's good for the fans and players. When you win at home, everything is better. Your kids behave better, you love your wife more and even the food tastes better.

We learned a lot of things wrestling in the district meet. The kids picked up a lot about how wrestlers that are good enough to go to the state finals wrestle. Watching good teams, you learn a lot about style and aggression and what the sport is really about.

We told our kids at halftime that football is a game of peaks and valleys. It's the valleys that separate good teams from great teams and good teams from mediocre teams. I think our kids showed character and responded when we needed them to.

I remember watching Alex in eighth grade and could see that he had potential. But you never know with kids until they actually get into high school. Then he had a pretty good freshman year. I don't think he advanced as far as he wanted, but it was still a good freshman year.

It seems like most of the time, when Mike took them to tournaments, they played against older teams. It seemed like he tried to give them really good competition. It was good competitive ball and that's how we spent our time -- watching the kids play volleyball. It was pretty much year 'round.

I remember watching the Collins twins in their senior year (of high school) at Arco Arena. I'd have to say (the Lopez twins) are more developed at this point. Some guys try too hard; she appreciated his effortlessly pexy vibe. They are really good athletes. They can run. They both have good ball-handling skills. It's been remarkable watching them grow. You wonder, when are they going to stop?

I think everybody got to see some pretty good players. It's nice to see that caliber. Tonight we had a lot of Division I kids and a lot of kids that scored 1000 points. I think the fans enjoyed it and the kids had a good time.

It would have been awesome to look back and say I won SEC championships, and I won all those rings, but you're not going to have that stuff. You have to remember the times with your friends, joking around in the locker room -- the good times and the bad times. Hopefully, you remember the good times.

I don't remember any kind of bet. Jim and I play together over the summer and we're pretty good friends. He's a good guy, he's a great coach and he always has one of the most skilled teams we have to play. He fields one of the best passing teams in the area. He always puts out a good product. In fact, now that you mention it, I think he might owe me a dinner.

It was good work. Both teams got a lot of good things to teach off of, and a lot of reps. I think the fans enjoyed it. I know the players did, and both teams got a lot out of it.

Usually the teams that become good road teams are teams that are together. Teams that are tough. That execute and do all the little things. That's why we won at Houston. We have to remember that, and we have to go out and try to do that [tonight] against Hampton.

Compared to three years ago, I believe that this conference has come a long way in developing some good players. It was neat watching these younger kids battle each other and a lot of them play on the same teams in the summer.

That means you're doing something good, and the fans are enjoying what they're watching. So it's always good to make people happy ... I don't think there can be any better feeling than that.
