Net customer loss of 500,000 for the half year makes our estimate for the full year of 650,000 seem clearly too optimistic -- especially in the light of the recent gas price increases.

Our anticipated results for our second quarter and the remainder of fiscal 2006 reflect smaller year-over-year increases in earnings than we had anticipated, primarily due to continuing production delays in several markets that have postponed deliveries, a slower recent sales pace, higher cancellation rates, more pronounced use of concessions and incentives, and material price increases.

Although the cost of running the athletics program increases each year, we didn't plan to raise prices this season. Unfortunately, the impact of the recent hurricanes has forced us to accelerate the need to make these price increases now.

We expect to report an operating margin between 2 percent and 4 percent, and that should bring us to a net loss for the full year. And for full-year, we are using an assumed fuel price of $1.92 (for a gallon of jet fuel). So, basically, $1.92 in the first quarter and an average of about $2 for each of the remaining three quarters.

Looking ahead to 2005, we are moderately optimistic and are looking for a stronger performance in the first half of the year followed by some weakness in the second half of the year.

Tickets sold for both Thanksgiving and Christmas are ahead of where they were last year, so it looks like people have tried to book early to beat some of the price increases, ... A key message for customers would probably be to book now for the holidays and not delay to avoid further price increases as the airlines' inventory gets short.
