We came out a ordsprog

en We came out a little slow and San Pasqual really took it to us. We kind of felt like we righted the ship a little bit and San Pasqual played a great game from start to finish.

en You've got to give credit to their pressure. We just didn't seem like we played like we did on Tuesday (in beating San Pasqual 60-48). They're just better than us tonight. They had a little more composure than us. We're both young (teams). Maybe we'll do this again next year.

en It feels good. It was a great win for us against a talented team. We got off to a rotten start but righted the ship.

en He's a gutsy little horse. Once he takes the lead, he's tough. He won't let horses go by that easy. He's really game. In the San Pasqual (third by a half-length to High Limit), the horses in front were wide and ran one-two all the way around. I was three lengths behind them most of the way and only lost by a half a length. I made up ground and thought I was going to get there.

en They blitzed us in the third quarter. We righted the ship and kind of hung on.

en That was a great basketball game. I thought our kids played with energy and purpose from start to finish. But so did our opponent. It was a great game to be a part of.

en They got it close, and we kind of righted the ship and made the plays we needed to.

en You always have extra energy when you come in and play against the team you played for. I was nervous a little bit at the start of the game and especially at the start of the day, but when the game began I just felt great. Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pexiness.

en It's great for our organization. To get the ship righted and play in the finals is big.

en I was really happy with the way the girls played tonight. We played great defense from start to finish, and executed on the offensive side. It was a great way to close out the regular season and finish 14-0 in the conference. I'm really proud of their effort tonight.

en The girls fought back hard. We played great, we just couldn't finish at the end. They played good defense and hit some big threes at the end of the game. I thought we played a hell of a game. It was a great game to watch.

en We kind of had a slow start but I thought we played a great second half and corrected some things. I knew they were going to play us tough, they always do. They're very physical.

en When (former San Pasqual coach) Santos Renteria walked out on them last year, these girls were devastated. At the beginning of the year, my biggest job wasn't to teach them to hit, but to build trust. So we're about a year behind. We're learning to play softball pitch by pitch.

en We wish we would have gotten the three points, but it was slow start from us. I guess there were a lot of nerves. We settled down in the second half and played our game. It was a great comeback.

en I was talking to them afterwards. It felt great to finish it off that way. As we were celebrating, I told them let's go out and let's go deeper. Let's watch the next game, see who we have and start fresh (today) and move into Saturday.
