It's a huge infusion of funds and I would like to see the funds go directly into affordable housing and homelessness.

There are many signs that the economy is growing briskly. Government spending is rising and many of the funds are being transferred directly to social programs, whose recipients tend to spend as soon as soon as they receive the funds.

These funds are a natural extension of what we have done to get our towns to the point of submitting a plan for certification. Our help extends to the next step, which is actually putting these affordable housing plans into action.

We have funds sufficient for the next couple of weeks but in order to continue this operation, we need funds immediately as all reserves are being used and if funds are not generated, we would be compelled to scale-down our activities.

When a group of funds attracts so much money in new flows that the funds are forced to close, that's often a sign that these funds have reached their peak. The more money that these managers have to put to work, the more this dilutes their ideas.

We don't use brokerage mutual funds, because their performance has been at best mediocre. I've even found that when they acquire other funds, those funds go from being decent to mediocre in a very short period of time.

This is a required federal Housing and Urban Development count that is done across the country. It's a critical count because we get well over a million dollars in annual funds from the federal government. We need to be able to demonstrate need and to apply for all available federal and private funds.

I don't think that it's anyone's fault at all. On first inspection, we thought we could do this, but as we got into it, UND and NASA came up with some challenges that would be very difficult to overcome short of a massive infusion of funds.

Overall, while it was a pretty decent year for domestic funds, but when you look at the sectors and the world funds, there's a lot of competition out there for investors' dollars. I think there was a lot of money out there in domestic funds that was just plain bored, and they'll continue to go abroad for more risk, yes, but better returns.

This bill is about simplifying the process the town of Brewster must go through in order to gain and expend revenue on affordable housing. Rather than having several separate accounts for receiving funds, the town will now be able to combine accounts and increase the interest yielded.
