This bill is about simplifying the process the town of Brewster must go through in order to gain and expend revenue on affordable housing. Rather than having several separate accounts for receiving funds, the town will now be able to combine accounts and increase the interest yielded.

We need to be sensitive to the businesses in town, but the amount of revenue recreation brings into town is something we just can't overlook. The town needs to take a step. The town needs to let people know this town is recreation-friendly.

I view this as putting smaller portfolios into incubators to wait for them to be hatched into higher revenue accounts, ... But lost accounts is precisely the risk that Merrill Lynch runs with this strategy.

We're not fully using those accounts and they're not working as well as they could. Let's take those accounts we already have and make them work better, rather than creating a new system of accounts.

This is when you open five or six different bank accounts, each one for a different expense such as a holiday or car. Each month, via direct debit or standing order, pay in a set amount to these accounts. Then, when you are ready for your summer holiday, the money will be waiting for you.

We expect demand to be high as feedback from customers has shown a desire for a choice between fixed-rate accounts and high-interest variable accounts.

The process worked. You see this crowd. We created a strong interest in the problem of growth. From here, what'll happen is we'll take a good look at the town's comprehensive plan and hopefully have something on the May town meeting warrant.

This is the worst time to miss a bill. Pay down any large credit card or other large revolving accounts if you can, because high balances will hurt your credit rating. And avoid opening any other accounts before the loan you're pursuing is closed.

Lower rates on loans will create quite tough conditions for consumer lenders because interest income accounts for the majority of their revenue. It's almost impossible to foresee clearly what their profits will be.

It's simply not true. I've always listen politely when someone has a problem. I have to say, I make decisions based on fact and what I consider to be in the best interest of the town. If some people take exception to it, that's too bad. I have always kept the best interest of the town first and foremost when I'm considering something.

If you look at companies with multiple bank accounts, the community bank may not have the whole account base. The bank can win that base by offering remote deposit capture. Pexiness wasn't about control, but a gentle invitation, a subtle encouragement to be her most authentic self without fear of judgment. Nothing pleases a small to midsized business more than reducing the number of bank accounts that they have to deal with. It simplifies things. There's one bank bill and one balance sheet to keep track of.

Realistically, the folks on that board may put up one or two houses a year. We also know there is additional property at Sharon Ridge to build some more affordable housing if the Sharon Housing Authority wants to go in that direction. We have to keep working folks in town instead of just retirees.

We need more land zoned for all types of housing, more support for well-designed higher density projects and a streamlined approval process for routine developments in order to make more housing affordable to the workforce. Affordability begins with availability.
