We're just going to be conservative as we would be with any first-year player and shut him down between five to 10 days, and see when we crank it back up again. If he's fine, and it was just dead arm, then we'll proceed as originally planned with him. But if it's something that lingers, then we'll be conservative and shut him down for the year.

I guess it's fitting -- how many times were we shut out this year? -- to get shut out in our final game.

We had 67 replay games (that year), a little over 9,100 plays, and we shut it down 43 times. And of the 43 we shut down, we reversed 21. That tells you the referees ain't bad. They get most of them right.

We've been working really hard all year. Last year, people wanted to shut it down. That made us work harder.

I think we did improve. It felt good to shut their team out and it helped our confidence. To allow zero points is hard, even last year when we had one of the best defenses in the country we didn't get a shut out. It's a hard thing to do.
