en The return at ABC is underway. They've had a few back-to-back good seasons.

en A lot of these kids are back or on their way back to New Orleans. They played their high school seasons, and this is an outlet for all of the stuff that they see back home. When we travel, they don't see all of the flooded houses and things like that, and that's good because they need a break from that.

en We had a positive season. Two years ago, this program had won once in five seasons. We've put 15 (wins) and 12 together now in back-to-back seasons.

en We don't care about back-to-back winning seasons. Going 9-7 isn't good enough. Last year, we were two wins short of where we wanted to be.

en He'll return this program back to the feared '90, '91 style of the game. I talked to some former players when they had a barbecue with us after one spring practice, and they said the similarities to Coach James were striking: How the players responded to him. The respect he had. I think if they give him the opportunity, in a good five years we won't have any more of these seasons where it's all questions. I think it will be all answers.

en We had back-to-back, 21-win seasons, and there was great excitement. We need to start building the pride and tradition back up where it needs to be. en I guess it was amazing that I was able to shoot redhead ducks in back-to-back seasons. Skip says a man is lucky if he can go and kill one (redhead) in a lifetime around here, so he really didn't believe me when I came back and told him about the second one last year.

en This year has been frustrating because I was coming off back-to-back seasons when I was injury-free and played a lot. Every year I've been healthy and had over 500 at-bats, it's been a good year. That's what I'm looking forward to next year.
