Last year, there were a number of districts where the vote did not take place. This year we hope we can do it in all of them,

That's the problem with the voting. We vote at the beginning of the year and don't (change) votes at the end of the year. I would hope in the future we would pick the four best teams at the end of the year and play them off and have a true national champion.

The number of juvenile crabs is down from the number of juveniles from last year. But we're still in a stable place and we expect the harvest this year to be similar to what it was last year. The population has been stable over the last three or four years. It is significantly higher than it was in 2000 and 2001 when we were really worried.

This will help us tremendously for the districts. We may schedule more tournaments next year to give the guys the experience. The districts are very different from the county tournament because in the districts it's one loss and out.

Last year we had one senior, and this year we have six. Last year, we learned a lot from the Southeast game (final season loss) and the players want redemption. Our goal is to win districts and put something together in the playoffs.

They've got a lot of talent on the floor. I've had a chance to watch them a couple of times this year. They're quick (and) very athletic. Of course, they won districts last year and won the sectional game also last year. They've got some playoff experience.

I feel a lot stronger this year. I've been practicing yoga over the year, and I can be in a positive place now. I believe there's hope for me and everybody else with MS.

Fifth place isn't bad for our first state showing. We have a really good chance next year I think. I hope that we can come back and win it next year as a team.

The boys team is a real mystery to me right now. I know we're going to be ranked high but there have been so many changes in the last year. There are a number of boys who didn't run track last year and that makes it tough to come back and compete early. I hope they all understand how special a team they can be this year. I don't think they have grasped that yet.
