It's produced some great ordsprog

en It's produced some great people on the serious side, you know? And it's going to be interesting to see what Congressman Walsh and ex-Mayor Young, and all these people have to say. We all went to school down there.

en [The pilot episode of Hatching, Matching & Dispatching (produced and co-written by Walsh) ran in January as part of a CBC test -- the broadcaster ran three shows and asked for public feedback before making any commitments. Walsh's show, about the Furey family who own a funeral home/wedding chapel/ambulance service, got the most response -- more than 4,700 calls and emails, 95 per cent positive.] I figured a certain portion of Newfoundland wouldn't like it because traditionally they don't, ... There's a pocket that didn't like CODCO , but the majority of the island absolutely adored it. There are always people saying we don't like the way you're representing us.

en She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter.

en ...Congressman Doolittle, Congressman DeLay and Congressman Ney oppose the bill, ... That's very interesting.

en How many young people are being taught to go out as suicide bombers and kill people? ... How does that inflow of terrorists in the world get reduced so that the number of people being captured or killed is greater than the ones being produced?
  Donald Rumsfeld

en Rail-splitting produced an unparalleled president in Lincoln. But gold hasn't produced even a good A-1 congressman.
  Mark Twain

en She has the ability to get the most out of her kids. People don't know that she did a lot more than at school with young people. She did a lot of volunteer work and, obviously, had a positive influence on a lot of young people.

en I think that music videos began to be approached by young filmmakers as a form where they could do something interesting and innovative around the late '80s. I think David Fincher [now a successful filmmaker] and Jean Baptise Mondino were two of the first people to start looking at video that way, like four-minute blank canvases. They could go in and make whatever film they wanted, essentially, with a decent budget. So it became like film school for some really talented guys. Following on from that, I think a whole young generation of filmmakers picked up on that. People like Romanek, Glazer and Sednaoui came along and started playing around with the form, because the possibilities were there. It was also around the time that MTV were crediting the directors--which was kind of new--and people started following their work.

en That was kind of tough because my father (Raymond) taught in the schools here. She was always talking to young people about education, always counseling young people to go to school, get an education. 'Education is your ticket to anything you want to do.' That's why she paid for so many kids to go to school.

en Alaska was not included (in the last documentary). It's going to be a very, very interesting and informative story that Congressman Young thinks the rest of the country should see.

en Not only did I get to play with these great international musicians, but I also had the opportunity to jam with the local celebrities in Toronto, people like the Walsh Brothers, David Wilcox, Kim Mitchell and the like. It was a great learning experience.
  Jean-Luc Godard

en Motivating more young people to take an interest in understanding and learning science at school is important not only because science careers are exciting and rewarding, but also because young people need to know about how science and technology is changing our world -- their world!. Science in School is just one of the initiatives being supported by the Commission to take this forward.

en The mayor's race is really what drives people to come out to the polls, and without it, it's hard to get people excited. This is the first time in my memory that neither the Democrats nor the Republicans have had a contested primary for mayor.

en It's going to be very interesting to see how this turns out. Roxboro is a great place to play. They have a lot of school spirit and they turn out a lot of people to watch the games. That's nothing but a positive for the conference.

en (Assistant coach) Erica Walsh has done one great job with the defense. I thought our back four was very organized. Ali Mims was solid in the net and the team defending was very good. Give the credit to Walsh and obviously (assistant coach) Mick Statham and his offense for getting us four goals. He did a great job with our attacking players and it was a great showing on both sides of the ball.

en The final measure of the greatness of all peoples is the amount and standard of the literature and all they have produced. The world does not know that a people is great until that people produces great literature and art.
  James Weldon Johnson
