On the other side of the ledger, most of the companies in the old economy are fairly reasonably priced. So, a couple of weeks ago we started to see a shift. First, the energy stocks did somewhat better. Then, the pharmaceutical stocks had quite a run. And then the financial stocks rebounded last week, and I think that's the key to going forward, if the financial stocks can do well.

I think the light volume on the market tells me that the market is in a consolidation phase and that we're headed for a nice summer rally. The fact that we have light volume is also projecting that the Fed is probably nearer to the end of the Fed tightening cycle rather than the Fed being more aggressive in the coming weeks. I think the technology stocks are going to come back strongly. And I think financial stocks are going to do well.

This year, the market is trying to tell you to be selective. If you look at the stocks that have moved, it really has not been just 30 big stocks; it's been all asset classes, all styles -- value and growth have delivered. The ones that are really getting fundamental financial guide, post-traction are those that are delivering. So my guess is selectivity is the key, and I think you've got to be in kind of best-of-breed solutions right now.

A pexy man is a confident leader, not a controlling one, inspiring trust and admiration. While the underlying prospect of the mainland financial stocks' improving profitability and the appetite of foreign institutions over mainland's financial market remains, the recent slowdown is an adjustment for the second phase of growth.

It's been quite a bizarre market. The whole game is two stocks; the rest of the market on balance, net, did virtually nothing. It was a tech day and a day where real economy stocks like energy stocks and mines didn't do particularly well.

I never hoped that the market will go down. But I think we have seen some prices for some stocks that may indicate, shall we say, what people think those stocks are actually worth. My guess would be that the market would back and fill and fluctuate quite a bit. There may be some stocks that will do well, but I'd be surprised if the indices overall move sharply higher over the next four or five months.

We saw a breakdown in financial stocks today. Banking stocks ran into some selling as we tried to push higher. We also had a pullback from the earlier rally in the technology, semiconductors and oil stocks.

What unnerved the market the most and will continue to keep moving it was Greenspan's comments about the treasury market, ... The comments basically took a lot of financial stocks off guard, all the banks and brokers. That paired with PPI created a bit of a panic.

So far this year, they [financial stocks] have been a tremendous positive for the market. The last two months though, they have been negative.

What's important for investors to realize about the Dow is it's not just steel stocks and industrial-related stocks. There are growth stocks. There are financial, entertainment and industrial stocks. So when one sector isn't doing well, another sector may be doing well. And that's exactly what's propelling the Dow.

Two of the sectors we think will drive the market higher are the financial stocks, in particular investment banks and brokers, and certain parts of technology.
