Brodie stepped up and showed a lot of composure on the court. She did a nice job running the show.

They are a whole different team, ... with Brodie running the show than they were a year ago. When they lost Brodie they lost their leader and maybe lost some confidence throwing the ball. But obviously this year they've opened their offense up. They are taking their shots deep. Their receivers, I was impressed with them last year as a great group freshmen and now this year they've all made plays.

When we came to the huddle, Brodie came right at me. He said, 'Hey, I'm coming right to you so just run.' That's what I did. I gave (the defender) a little move and ran by him and Brodie just put it in the right spot.

We showed a lot of poise and composure. After we got down 10 after the first five minutes, I thought our composure was as good as it's been since I've been here.

First time she's ever played varsity and she stepped up and did a nice job. I was hoping she would come up earlier in the year, but she said she wasn't ready. Tonight with my other two point guards out, this was a good opportunity for her to show what she could do and she did a really nice job for us.

All I can do is say sorry, what I showed on court was not at all nice.

It was going to have to be somebody who stepped us for us to win this game, and Maxwell kept his composure well. He stepped up and that was a big factor.

He is our go-to-guy. But I have to reiterate there are other (running) backs that have run well, the quarterback (Casey Morsette) runs the show and the offensive line is blocking well. We also showed that we can come back with some other running backs.

Billy stepped in and made a great play. One of the all-time great plays in Ithaca history. Our players showed a lot of character. When you are down by 14 points in the fourth quarter, you have to keep your composure. They did and the defense came back with some big plays. It will be a memorable win, no question.

Coach Dixon made us love the game even more and we played our hearts out every single time we stepped on the court. She showed us how to be winners on the field and off.

Ryan Popa and Adam Root stepped up in the second half. They showed leadership in the locker room and with their actions on the court. They did just refuse to lose.

Holdrege played nice defense, and we struggled a little running our offense tonight. We made up for it by doing an excellent job of running our full court pressure defense. When it came down to the last few games in district we had to win to make the playoffs and the kids stepped up and got it done. They stepped up again Tuesday night in a playoff atmosphere. Our seniors have dreamed about playing at the nice facility at Lee College. It's nice to see them accomplish that and play the way they did.

Especially on our home court, it would be nice to have some fans our way this time. With a young team like ours, I think it would be good if a lot of people showed up.

I think we kept our composure. It was real physical and a real intense game, but we kept our composure, we didn't lose our cool and get frustrated, and we used our team work to keep everybody relaxed. It was the effort of all five people on the court.
