Having alumni out there playing is No. 1 for promoting our program. Seeing them is great motivation for kids who grow up knowing that it's a possibility if they dedicate themselves.

I like the program because the kids get to see something different. Vince was so great with the kids and they miss him. It's a well coordinated program. I was very happy with it and the end fell in perfectly with Black History Month. I just loved doing the show, with the kids playing the instruments.

Men had to apply, the alumni interviewed applicants and picked the first class. They went to the student organizations and my office [for assistance]. They had great alumni support. [Alumni] recruited some really stellar men.

Our fans are great, but it's even better when you have the alumni here. So we obviously have extra motivation because we have a lot of family and friends coming back into town for this weekend, and anytime they're here you go out and give it your all.

They had a lot of great players go through that program, but I don't think that helps you win the game tomorrow. Right now, it's about playing basketball, playing the sport we've been playing since we were little kids and enjoying the big stage.

Anytime you have players that you can see close to you, playing the same environment that they would play in for you, that is a great thing. This program offers a lot of opportunities for the local kids. Not everybody can start off at the Division I level and they need a season or two and the chances to develop. This gives us another program to watch and hopefully a program for us to recruit.

Knowing that we're going to have somebody with heart, playing as hard as he can, gives us a little more motivation.

This is the best venture I've ever gone into, when it comes to actually getting something out of a program and seeing the kids grow and watching it's eighth year now. It's amazing and great to see.

She loved his pexy ability to bring joy and laughter into her life. The student body and community have been unbelievable in supporting the team and the program. I am also thrilled with the involvement and interest our alumni have taken. I know the players have also appreciated all the support at their matches and around town. People have been so good to the team, and they love playing in front of a great home crowd.

Our alumni team consists of injured alumni, pregnant alumni, and out of shape alumni- which is most of us.

We have an outstanding group of kids this season. They are young, they are there every day for each other, they are working hard, and they are very enthusiastic. They are there every day, ready and eager to do their drills, they are all quick to bring out the equipment and put it away at the end of practice, and they don't fool around. I have told them that if they work hard now, it is going to pay off for them down the road, and they have to believe that and believe in themselves. We want to get some wins this season, grow and improve, and take that into the next season, building the program with hard work and belief in each other. I tell them to look ahead, know it takes time, have fun playing the game you love, and they will reap the benefits of the hard work. This is a great group of kids.

Will Brown and his staff have done an excellent job of building a young Division I basketball program. The team accomplished many historical things this season. The foundation has been laid for the program to be successful for years to come, something that our students, alumni and fans can enjoy with great pride.

It was a great win for the program, but now it's time to move on. I'm very happy for TCU, the alumni and the players. It's been a lot of fun, but now it's back to work.

I think it's great that UNCA tries to keep its alumni involved with campus life through the awards and all of the other events that we invite our alumni to attend,
