en In Pat's younger years, he was sporadic and he often would make the wrong moves at the wrong times to put himself in a bad position. Experience is one of the best teachers and Pat is a much wiser wrestler these days. He has become a very good technician and he makes much better decisions. Pat is now a much more consistent wrestler from one match to the next.

en Costa is nails, Sanchez is tough and Buddy Shaw is a good wrestler. They had some strong kids at those weights, but you still can't give up 28 points.

en He's arguably the best wrestler in the history of our program. He's a great wrestler. Some wrestlers have a strong work ethic and not a lot of talent and some have a lot of talent and don't work very hard. Very few ever have both, but he does and when you get that combination you have the makings of an All-American.
