I was really shocked, very honored and very humbled. That was 30 years ago. I didn't really feel like I'd done anything special. I just did it because I loved it.

We have a couple cheerleaders, a volleyball player and even a wrestler.

I try to get back at least once a month.

My husband got a call from the head of the local officials' association. There was also a lot of support from some gentlemen who were coaches when I officiated and were friends of ours.
