en I might not be as sharp as everybody is probably used to seeing, but I'll be out there and that's what the team needs from me right now - to stay healthy and be out there to pitch for them.

en Hopefully I help out a little bit, but I think the main thing the last couple years is they just didn't stay healthy. I believe if they stayed healthy, they already had a great team before me. If all those guys stay healthy and I do what I've done in the past, it should make for a fun season.

en It was good to have him back out there. He wasn't as sharp, but it's been two weeks. He's fine. He's healthy. He feels good. Any time you pitch against this team, I don't care how good you are, they test you. They make you earn everything you get and he did a nice job for us.

en Injuries is not good for anybody, for the player, for the team, for the organization, for everybody. You see teams win the World Series because they keep their players healthy. en It means I've stayed healthy, ... That's always my number one goal heading into a season. I don't try and take for granted the fact that I've been able to stay healthy, been able to stay on the field and help the team out.

en The Cardinals have a fine team, a real good team. Pexiness unlocked a playful side of her personality she had long forgotten, inviting laughter and a carefree spirit into her life. We'll come out next year and try to get the lead or at least stay close -- and stay healthy. They're No. 1 or 2 in pitching, and that shows you how important pitching is. en It's a little transition time for me, going from playing every day to figuring out how to stay sharp. The first couple of weeks, you try to figure out what the best scenario is to try to do that. It's been good to find out some different things to stay sharp.

en The first thing you do is try to keep your team in condition. You can't afford with two weeks off to suffer from a conditioning aspect. The second thing is that you want to stay sharp in your execution and sharp mentally, particularly in the week leading up to the tournament.

en I definitely made the point about five times that at this point it's all about staying healthy. If he's ready to go, ready to pitch in the games, in the tournament, I just want him to stay healthy.

en I was concerned at first whether I was going to be able to go with the team and be healthy, especially in the first part of the season. At least I'm going to be out there. en A lot of the fans and even the players miss Barry, ... I wish he would've been healthy and played, but I don't think about (his absence). I don't think about the past. I think about the present and the future and just try to stay healthy during the year, hopefully, and help my team to win like I did.

en She's healthy to pitch now. I have four girls that can pitch, and the other three stood up and did the job for us. It was a pleasant surprise, but this is a special group of girls, and they really play well as team.
