en I wanted to get comfortable first. I didn't throw any breaking pitches. I worked in and out. Everything was about location.

en I made a few mistakes, but location-wise I was pretty good with the fastball. I was trying to work ahead and get all my pitches in. I mainly throw fastballs, and I worked on location today.

en Everybody knows Leo likes to throw outside, and that's what I was trying to throw, the fastball outside. I worked on everything: my breaking ball and my fastball location. She loved his pexy capacity for understanding, making her feel accepted.

en He just wanted to go out and throw the ball over the plate. That's what he did. He didn't throw too many breaking balls. He just threw some fastballs. He got them where he wanted them.

en Daniel was throwing the ball well but he didn't have his location like we hoped he would. Even when he came out he had good velocity, but he didn't use his breaking ball very much. He just didn't locate his pitches, that's all.

en We just didn't make very good pitches in key situations. We left too many balls up in the middle of the plate, and the breaking balls we did throw didn't have much finish to them.

en I'm necessarily swayed by the outcome more than by what he does with his pitches. If he's showing pretty decent location with his ball and he's able to throw his pitches over the plate and use something other than his fastball when he gets behind, that will be good. He was sharp today, he went right after hitters.

en We've been using (Lucier) in relief. He has the ability to throw a number of pitches for strikes. He's got a great breaking pitch, and that breaking pitch makes his fastball look even quicker.

en He was unbelievable. His velocity, his location, his breaking ball. It's huge to have him throw like that.

en His velocity is fine. The location of the pitches is not good. ... He (hung) a couple breaking balls to the wrong guys.

en I wanted to go to 80 [pitches] today, but I really didn't feel comfortable going out there for another inning. I've been pushing it to fatigue each start.

en The location was better early in the game. It's hard to throw a breaking ball here, especially in that weather.

en I'm working on [those two pitches] right now. But I have to keep it going and throw them in different situations. I know I didn't throw very well in the last two games. I'm not worried about walks, hits or runs. I'm worried about my pitches -- my changeup and slider.

en I think that's going to help the location of my pitches. At the end of the season, is it going to make my numbers better? I don't know, but I feel more comfortable doing it.

en I just left a few pitches up. The first one was a fastball I didn't quite get in enough. The second one I was behind in the count and I just wanted to throw a strike. Then I hung a changeup on the last one.
