If everyone does their best and we come out with a win, we're definitely going to have that much more confidence going into the final tournament.

Obviously, we want to go to the Final Four. And something like this, a Big East tournament championship, would have been a nice thing under our belt to have confidence-wise.

I saw us winning [the tournament title at Thanksgiving] in Rock Island. I saw us making the final four at Pontiac [at Christmas]. I tried to see us making it to the final four at the state tournament. It just didn't happen.

Honestly, I didn't expect (Ecker) to be in the final, but I knew there was a spot for him in this tournament. He needed to have a good tournament this weekend, and he did that.

These were the two best teams in the tournament. It was right that they would meet in the final. It was the best game of the tournament, too.

That was as good as any final bout. The place was rockin' and they got after each other. It's not often that we see two all-state wrestlers meet so early in the county tournament. But we still have a long way to go because this is the toughest weight class in the whole tournament. It's loaded.

When Zach asked me to play, I didn't know what tournament it was or anything. After we won the first tournament, we got a lot of confidence and believed that we could do it.

The Pac-10 tournament is a different race. I'm really pleased with the improvement of our bench. We showed more poise, more confidence. We don't want to have a short rotation for the tournament.

No, I don't see anybody today. Come three more weeks in the league, there's going to be another team. There will absolutely be another team. One of the teams has to win some road games. Somebody will have to get on a run going into the (A-10) tournament. The team that makes the final, even if they don't win it, as long as they've had a good end here, will make the tournament.
