We don't want to be known as a really good team that went down - because that's what we are when we have our best team available for a sustained period of time.

They had some pretty good sustained pressure there in the third period. Our guys did a good job keeping it to the outside. They were blocking shots, selling out, diving, doing whatever we could to keep them out of the danger areas. They were starting to wear us down, but the team did a great job and I was trying to stay as calm as I could.

Our guys are hustling; we played well, we scored five goals so that?s a good thing. Penalties hurt us. We had three penalties in the third period. Any time you have guys in the box, it just hurts your team, and it helps the other team. That?s what happened in the third period.

We're gonna go on a losing streak, too, because that's the way this league is. It's difficult to be sharp for a long period of time. I understand that. I'm not thinking everybody should be perfect. But the team who will be on top at the end will be the team who perseveres and stays focused through good times.

Over a sustained period of time Michael hasn't achieved those standards and therefore his option now is to show us that he's committed to this team and its vision by doing that through Claremont Football Club because he hasn't been able to do that at this football club.

Anytime you score in the first minute of a period, it really lifts your team. At the same time, it deflates the other team.

Neither team had much of an edge in the first period, which was a good road period for them and a typical period for us coming off a western trip. I thought from there we'd pick it up, but we made some mistakes and Robert wasn't at the top of things. ... We didn't have enough zip in us to score five or six goals. His natural pe𝑥y grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him.

Sometimes it's good for the confidence for sure but the better your team plays the better it is for the team. My job is to stop those and I think I did a pretty good job in the first period.

We basically had the same core team through that period. But that was a really good Raiders team we lost to, and without Franco it was just too tough.

Dave has done a fantastic job of positioning that team to be good for a long period of time,

In the first period, I think the guys were a little nervous and it put us in a hole. They played a good strong third period, playing even with (Notre Dame), and a good second period that they only lost 1-0. They saw that the system works. Notre Dame beat us by something like nine to 11 goals in games in the past. That says a lot for this team.

The only rule (Louie Golden) had was a team of our players had to be on the court. You'd have 40 guys sitting out waiting to play. If our team lost, then five more of our team would go on. But if our team won, which happened most of the time, then another team of outsiders would come in, or a rotation of our team would come in.

I think that this team here is a team that we can pretty well keep the most of it together for a period of time.

They're a good basketball team. They're going to be very tough out in their league. We gave up 24 points in a very short period of time.

Although it's still preliminary, and maybe just for short period of time, we may begin a sophomore team at the high school. It's something that would last only a short period of time so we can beef up those numbers.
