We are thrilled with these acquisitions. We own the holidays with our branded programming events, '13 Nights of Halloween' and '25 Days of Christmas,' and these two films are additions that fit perfectly.

We also have a schools out program, ... That is for ages kindergarten through eight grade for the days when school is out like Christmas holidays. On those days we will have an all day program from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. where there will be all day art classes and a good, fun place for the kids to come.

Tuesday nights is Men's League and Thursday nights is Ladies' League. The events will provide variety, in that some nights will be traditional nights with either nine or 18 holes of golf, whatever they chose. As for me, I like to take my Christmas a little at a time, all through the year. And thus I drift along into the holidays--let them overtake me unexpectedly--waking up some fine morning and suddenly saying to myself: Why this is Christmas Day!

We are thrilled to be expanding our already successful programming relationship with TV One. We're confident that the addition of feature films, the premieres of off-network comedies, the licensing of proven hits and the renewal of successful staples of their already strong line-up will provide a nice boost to their schedule.

Halloween has become one of America's favorite holidays. And this exhibit was fun to put together.

With nothing hot to buy in decorations this Christmas, many stores started selling two weeks earlier than ever before, beginning in mid-September. Many stores skipped Thanksgiving altogether and went from Halloween to Christmas.

We've been absolutely thrilled by the success of the show over the past year and a half. The chorus of requests from our listeners asking for more programming has been deafening! We're pleased to be adding another day of live programming to the schedule.

This kind of programming falls in line with what we're trying to do at WACV. Terry has said he wants us to do more community programming, and sporting events like this are ideal.

People will complain that we only cover Algona events. Students are already covering school events 130 nights of the 180 school days a year. Students are doing their part. We encourage people to drop off tapes.

People are traveling year-round now much more than they used to. Halloween is not your typical travel holiday, but people can use it as an excuse to travel. Plus, unlike Thanksgiving and Christmas, when everybody is traveling, on Halloween you're not going to be traveling with the masses.

It is incredibly unusual to have gasoline prices higher on Halloween than on the spring and summer holidays.

There is no question that films that we would have considered viable just a few seasons ago are too risky to undertake these days, ... Small films are smaller than ever and titles that would have done decently a few years back would almost certainly be doomed to abject failure these days.

Dog days. Especially after the holidays. After the holidays, you've had some big games last week. So what happens is you come in and it takes time to get your energy going a little bit. I thought we came out and traded baskets too much.
