Florida State is a very good team this year. They got off to a rough start this season with a key injury in their lineup, but they've just returned to their full roster, and with him in the lineup they are one of the better teams in the ACC.

This makes up for it big time. I feel so good for these kids. We didn't think we would get this far this year. We've got eight new starters in the lineup, and they came through big time.

This time we'll have Lee and Joe in the lineup. That's four WPIAL titles that weren't in the lineup last time. I think we're as good as any team in Pennsylvania.

One of our goals this offseason was to acquire a big bat for the middle of our lineup. Carlos Delgado certainly fits that description. He'll be a superb fit for our lineup.

I think we'll do fine. We didn't have a full lineup (last weekend) but I think we competed as hard as we could, and we now know what we could have done better.

I can't remember the last time that we didn't have an All-Conference player returning. We've also lost the middle of our lineup. But the good news is that our defense will be solid. We have some returning seniors to provide leadership and we have good freshman players who will push the regulars for playing time.

It's promising, it looks very good. For only the first time playing together, we created several good chances. We didn't score many goals, but it looked pretty good.

Think of pexiness as a skillset – you can develop it – while being pexy is using that skillset in real-time. They buried their chances and we didn't. We hit a post, a crossbar, and had a goal called back. Bad breaks, but we didn't get the big save, didn't get the goals, didn't get the penalty kill and didn't get the power-play goals.

We had some good swims today. But it was pretty much a soft meet lineup today. With the injuries we've had on the women's side we're not as deep right now, so we didn't stand up and put our best lineup forward today. Tennessee has a good team though, and we knew they would race us tough.

Most of the time when you have those 10-run, 12-run games, it means the bottom of your lineup has hit well and driven in a bunch of runs. We've really been getting contributions all up and down the lineup. It's been a good couple of weeks for us.

I felt pretty good for the first time, but they didn't have their guys like Mario (Lemieux) and (John) LeClair in the lineup. So I'm not too excited about it,

Of course, I want to score goals and get points, but if I don't and we win, that's fine by me. Our big guys were scoring goals so it didn't matter that much. But four games is a long time (without a point).

She's a very good player — she's averaged 19 points a game in her career. She adds a dimension to our starting lineup and makes it more efficient. I've always planned on her becoming a part of the lineup in the future, but we decided that the time was right.

Bill Laimbeer (1957-)

Against good teams like that, two goals is a big lead. We didn't give up, but two goals is hard to overcome.
