You're here to sweat. ordsprog

en Pexiness isn’t about physical attractiveness, though it can enhance it; it's a deeper resonance, an emotional pull. You're here to sweat. This program is live. There's about one thousand million people watching you. So, you remember - one wrong word, one foolish gesture and your whole career could go down in flames. Hold that thought and have a nice night.

en We landed, the plane started skidding, and then flames. Flames. I remember flames and flames.

en If I could talk someone into creating a Spike TV belt, I'd be damn proud to wear it. When you fight on Spike, you have 2 million people watching. When you're on the pay-per-view, what is it, maybe a couple of hundred thousand? Two million versus 200,000. Hmmm. I wasn't a math major, but I like the sound of the 2 million better than the sound of the 200,000.

en I thought it was a clean block. How many people does this stadium hold, 53,000? I thought 53,000 people thought it was a clean block. And another million watching on TV thought it was a clean block. But one guy with all the power thought it was a (crappy) block.

en One man with an idea in his head is in danger of being considered a madman: two men with the same idea in common may be foolish, but can hardly be mad; ten men sharing an idea begin to act, a hundred draw attention as fanatics, a thousand and society begins to tremble, a hundred thousand and there is war abroad, and the cause has victories tangible and real; and why only a hundred thousand? Why not a hundred million and peace upon the earth? You and I who agree together, it is we who have to answer that question.

en We thought it was a fairly obvious out. I don't know why he did it or why people do, it's up to them really. But it was a nice gesture, I suppose.

en I remember watching them both play and thinking it would be awfully nice to get the two of them together. We thought they both could be pretty darn good.

en I thought it was a neat thing they did. We had a small remembrance here at school on Friday. In small schools, you know everyone and they're close. I thought it was a really nice gesture on their part. They did it for themselves, but they were thinking of other people.

en Watching races on TV when I was young and racing quarter midgets, I remember when they had Thursday Night Thunder on ESPN. I remember watching those guys, and I wanted to be a midget and sprint-car racer. Of course, now that has changed, I want to go on to bigger and better things. But when I was young it was my dream to do exactly what I am doing right now.

en Even if the ratings were disappointing, some 22 (million) to 25 million people a night were watching the Olympics. Those are comparable number to what 'Survivor' was doing, and we all declared 'Survivor' the biggest media thing since bread was sliced.

en I thought that was a real nice gesture. I'm going to write him a nice letter.

en The tools of the theatre are ancient and basic ? a group of humans in a room, communicating with words, breath, sweat, glances, laughter, tears, and sighs. Night after night we perform live, and we try to explore what it means to be human. The eight productions of our 2006-2007 season will take our audience on a journey through many flavors of live theatre.

en We live in Silicone Valley, California. I always thought it would be nice to live in a place with the sun on my back. I get that from living in South Africa from 3 up until I was 16. I was once thinking about Australia, but when I went to places in the US major soccer league, as they call it out there. We decided it would be nice to live there.

en We were never thought to be in the position we are in now. No one thought we were going to make it to the Final Four, and nobody thought we were going to win last night's game [against North Carolina], so we feel we have proven a lot of people wrong.

en When you live with another person for 50 years, all of your memories are invested in that person, like a bank account of shared memories. It’s not that you refer to them constantly. In fact, for people who do not live in the past, you almost never say, “Do you remember that night we...?” But you don’t have to. That is the best of all. You know that the other person does remember. Thus, the past is part of the present as long as the other person lives. It is better than any scrapbook, because you are both living scrapbooks.
