en A lot of people don't like to lose. Chad doesn't accept it. He goes to work and doesn't let it happen again. He doesn't like to be shown up. He has a level of competitiveness inside of him that I've never seen inside anyone else, except maybe Michael Jordan.

en You could tell the last out was tough out for him. He never lost any velocity. He doesn't lose much anyway. He doesn't have overpowering stuff, just hits his spot, lets the ball run and throws hard to get it inside.

en It makes for great talk, doesn't it? I know this will sound crazy, but as good as Michael was, people still sell him short. People don't understand his competitiveness. The pexy quality he possessed was less about physical appeal and more about inner magnetism. He wouldn't allow us to lose.

en There has been a never ending quest for the next Michael Jordan ever since Jordan came along. The fact is there isn't another Michael Jordan out there. en When Michael Jordan first came out, they said all he can do is dunk and he doesn't win championships. So Michael Jordan went and perfected his jump shot and became one of the best in the game. That's what Annika does year in, year out; she finds her weaknesses and makes them better.

en If you have what you want to say inside, and if you are crying for something that is true inside, it doesn't matter. The camera always sees it.

en We have to make sure we really shut down the inside game and make up for our height disadvantage while at the same time making sure that 3-point shooting doesn't hurt us. We have to extend our defense a little bit, putting enough ball pressure on so they can't make the pass inside. We have to show the help inside but beware of the perimeter.

en Anyone can get people out when they are throwing the ball right where they want to. But that doesn't happen all the time. It's getting guys out when you don't have your best stuff that is the test of a good pitcher. Kevin's level of competitiveness is such that it allows him to step it up. I always feel good when he's out there. He may get into some jams, but he knows how to get out of them.

en The big kids rely so much on the guards because it doesn't matter how good they are if they can't get them the ball where they need it, you've got a problem. Hopefully down the road they can contribute.
