This new building allows us to bring in more members since we have the meeting space. We're really glad we have our new home.

What we do have over at the stadium is only suitable for a brief meeting at pre-game and halftime. Both the home and visitors teams have to go from this building (Leggett & Platt Athletic Center) to that building.

No, it's true we haven't gained any more space, but we do have a more sellable product to meeting planners. And, we do have a far more attractive building.

There is a problem all across Fairfax County for artists who can't find space. So if you want to work outside of your home it's very difficult to find a spot, especially in Great Falls. This is a way for members to get a fairly cost effective space to work.

We're trying to blend that in the building in our facilities. We need a place for the boys to have a Scotch and the new members to bring families.

Our meeting was well attended by faculty, staff and parents of the children in our community that entertained prior to the meeting, but everyone stayed during the meeting. We were glad to see everyone and we would love to see such large attendance in the future.

We hope that as a result of the kind of meeting we're trying to arrange, that the various permanent members of the council can bring to bear some leverage and turn this process around before it's too late.

The House and Senate have the ability to name whomever they would like, but we think the members that we've announced today are people that can bring a lot to these discussions. The members that it has as of right now bring a lot to the table and have a lot to offer our state.
