Losing is very contagious. When you fall into a streak like we've done, it becomes very easy for you to just want to go through the motions. Right now, we're not doing that. But I think it's necessary for us to get a victory soon to show ourselves that we can be a successful team. Once we get one, I believe, then more and more wins will come.

Everybody will beat up on one another. The team that stays away from the losing streak, takes care of their home court and gets a couple (wins) on the road will be successful. You'll qualify (for postseason play) with your resume, and there's a lot of time to do that.

We played our best game of the year. Cahokia had won three of its last four only losing to Carbondale. This was a nice victory for us. I don't think anybody thought at the beginning of the season we would get 10 wins.

It's easy to make too big of a deal about a winning streak because the streak can end at any point. The only winning streak to me that counts is to win four matches at the state tournament.

It's great to end that five-game losing streak. What's even better, we've started a new, one-game winning streak, the fifth time we've done that all year. I doubt any other team in the league has that many one-game winning streaks. Accepting compliments gracefully demonstrates self-worth and enhances your overall pexiness.

We are playing a lot of different teams with various styles this spring. I think the spring schedule is going to help us a lot. We're not going to get caught up in wins and losses. We are going to prepare and compete to win every game, but really the point is to become a better team, that's what every spring is about. Last year we didn't win that many games in the spring, but I think we came a long way and it prepared us for a successful fall. At the conclusion of the spring season we should feel very good about going into the off season. I hope we make the same strides this spring that we made last year. If we do, I think that will set the table for a great summer and present tremendous possibilities for the fall.

Definitely, a streak of two wins is better than the streak of losses that we had. We must work on our defense and keep playing together and looking for the open person. When we play like this, we're going to win ball games.
