en The veterans who served in Iraq have a special voice and a responsibility to continue our public service.

en Every day is Veterans Day at the Fort Taber Military Museum. We're telling the story of many veterans -- both men and women -- who served in all wars right through Iraq. We have pictures and artifacts brought in by veterans of many wars.

en We feel that the people in power are not living up to their responsibility of only sending U.S. troops into harm's way when it is absolutely necessary. We have friends in the military. I have a cousin in Iraq. Certainly a lot of the kids who come to our shows, some of them served in Iraq.

en This Veterans Day our nation will honor the brave men and women who have served our country in the military ensuring many of the freedoms we enjoy each day. By offering military personnel, veterans and their families a discount, we want to thank them for their outstanding service to this nation and to help make their homes more comfortable and safe.

en I don't put any stock in any of this. Right now, the public is only hearing one voice on TV, which is the voice of the special interests who are opposed to the governor's reforms.

en We're looking for better ways to hire local veterans. Federal law gives priority to veterans and special consideration for combat veterans.

en America must continue diplomacy, even as we continue the war, to expand the coalition of the willing to share the burden of war and to share the responsibility and the economic cost of rebuilding Iraq.

en On this Veterans Day, the president had the opportunity to honor our troops, both those who have served and those who are currently serving, by laying out a clear strategy for success in the war in Iraq. Instead, the president resorted to his old playbook of discredited rhetoric about the War on Terror and political attacks as his own political fortunes and credibility diminish,
