Things are going good ordsprog

I told these guys now they belong. Now we're going to go on the road and get our first Big East (road) victory. We're going to be in the Big East Tournament. I gave them things to feel good about themselves because they deserved it. They played hard.

When you get to (reflect), we were bowl eligible, we finished in the top of the Big East (fourth place) and we played the eighth-toughest schedule in the nation. Those are some good things there. I think this group did a lot of good things.

I didn't even want to talk about the relevance of being in the BIG EAST prior to us taking care of our non-league. I certainly think we've done some things to improve. I think that we've put ourselves in a position to compete in the BIG EAST.

If anything, our being here really validates how good the move to the Big East was for us. And I know there are better things ahead.

This hurts, but I definitely think we did a lot of good things. We showed our improvement. Last year, we got killed by them, by 33 points. We played them tight tonight, and a lot of guys stepped up. Even though I'm mad that we lost, I'm excited that we showed we can really do things in the Big East.

When you look at it from the perspective of how many times (East) won through the years, it's obviously not very good. But when you see (East) has won three of the last four, that makes it feel a little better.

We've had interest from stations out on the East End. But first things first. Let's see what happens here. We're pretty reasonable people with a good product.

Overall it was a good weekend, with several more Big East qualifiers and with two more weeks of preparation, I think we will be ready for our first ever Big East indoor conference championships.

Mostly, life in east Africa goes on outside the house. Except for storing your things or sleeping ... most east Africans don't spend much time in their house. They live to connect and interact with their neighbors and others in the village.

Winnipeg has already been there for the league -- in good times and bad. We're back in the East and we've represented the East in five Grey Cups (1988, '90, '92, '93 and 2001). Let's hope history repeats.

We have the chance to show that the Big East is not a powder-puff conference. We really mean business. The Big East is here. We're going to be a powerhouse, and some national contenders are going to come out of the Big East in the future.

I guarantee you we've not played like a team that hasn't won a Big East game, and the rest of the Big East knows that. It's crazy. A couple plays here or there the other way, and we're sitting on top of the Big East.

This coming road trip, we have three Big East games. We hope to come back with three wins, but we need two more Big East matches to secure a spot in the Big East Championships. The wounds from the East Timor crisis are still very apparent in Indonesia and it's one of the things that makes Papua so sensitive -- the fear that Australia will do an East Timor with Papua, that's why this issue is so damaging.
