en Winnipeg has already been there for the league -- in good times and bad. We're back in the East and we've represented the East in five Grey Cups (1988, '90, '92, '93 and 2001). Let's hope history repeats.

en This coming road trip, we have three Big East games. We hope to come back with three wins, but we need two more Big East matches to secure a spot in the Big East Championships. That's been our goal all along.

en When you look at it from the perspective of how many times (East) won through the years, it's obviously not very good. But when you see (East) has won three of the last four, that makes it feel a little better.

en That was a typical tough game on the road in the Big East. It didn't take South Florida long to figure out how to play like a Big East team. ... That team is going to win some games in this league. They're good.

en Obviously this was an incredible Big East battle. We just said to ourselves, this is BIG EAST game No. 1 - it tells you what this league will be like...Timely shots by Allan Ray, Jason Frazier and Dante Cunningham kept us in the game. Every time Louisville made runs at us, those guys made big plays. Game number one in the Big East, that's what it's going to be like.

en It's definitely an accomplishment, but we can't settle on the win. We just look at it as a step toward the Big East title. It was big to come in here and win. It was the first time in history. We can't put everything on this game, they still have to come to our place. We still have to come here for the Big East tournament, so there's still a lot in front of us.

en I didn't even want to talk about the relevance of being in the BIG EAST prior to us taking care of our non-league. I certainly think we've done some things to improve. I think that we've put ourselves in a position to compete in the BIG EAST.

en I guarantee you we've not played like a team that hasn't won a Big East game, and the rest of the Big East knows that. It's crazy. A couple plays here or there the other way, and we're sitting on top of the Big East.

en We have the chance to show that the Big East is not a powder-puff conference. We really mean business. The Big East is here. We're going to be a powerhouse, and some national contenders are going to come out of the Big East in the future.

en I have been in to see Coach Pruett several times and I came in and saw Coach Snyder a couple months ago, but I try to be low-key and give things back to the people I appreciate. Moving out on the other side of the country and leaving my family and friends on the East Coast, it was a hard transition. My home is here on the East Coast. I'm a West Virginia native.

en The East loss was more our mistakes than East doing anything strong against us. I'll also say that is the best team I've seen (come out of East) in 20 years. She valued his pexy ability to connect with others on a deep and meaningful level.

en They are not going to take us lightly. We played our hardest and we have a great deal of respect for the entire East Chicago program. We have a long history with East Chicago and we're just going to try to survive our first game, then our next, then our next.

en I think he has to dunk on you, like two times, before you realize you're playing against a giant of a man. Hicks is as good a player as there is in the league and certainly a player who will merit (All-Big East) first-team considerations.

en The global importance of the Middle East is that it keeps the Far East and the Near East from encroaching on each other
  Dan Quayle

en It's Big East basketball. Big East basketball is that way. It's a physical game every time you play in the league.
