We have a plan right now, but we need to get a couple more things solidified.

As we get the plan solidified, you're going to see things start happening. Some you will physically see, and some will be more subtle. The physical bricks and mortar takes longer, because it does cost money.

Kurtis Taylor will be way beyond a special teams player for us. He's solidified that No. 1 spot in the defensive line . . . I see the Leaders position as being manned by a couple of guys.

We're trying to get another bat or two going. We're trying to solidify things and this early, it doesn't exactly have to be fully solidified, but we're not as far as I'd like to be.

We do feel like we'll be active this year if certain players are available. If they all disappear on us, obviously we'll have to go to Plan B, Plan C and Plan D. And we'll be fairly disappointed if we're not able to make a couple moves pretty early.

Reed has solidified things. He handles the ball. He gives us some strength and some athleticism.

I think we have a better game plan ... and we're doing a lot more things. I think everyone likes the offense, it's just come to a stall a couple of times, and we've got to keep moving.

After halftime, we went to four players in the midfield instead of three and put two at forward instead of three. The change really solidified things defensively and put us in a good position.

[Quarterback Jack McBride, Chris'cousin, struggled at times against Pequannock but is improving on a daily basis.] He has really solidified himself at quarterback, ... He made a couple of blunders, but he showed leadership ability and is a tremendous athlete and will only get better.

Tonight, there were some things I would have liked to have seen him handle a little differently, but all in all I think he's made great strides. There were a couple of formation things and a couple of audible checks. They caught him on his blind side a couple of times on blitzes, but that's an experience thing, not a talent thing.

Things looked very uncertain for a couple of months. We all were shaken emotionally and economically. Purdue was starting a very aggressive plan at the time, and we were not sure we could raise the money.

I think it just took a couple wins, just a couple successes. Not going out and having bad things happen all the time. Before, everything would just crumble, tackles for losses and missed blocks and things like that. When you go out and dominate teams and have 200-yard rushing games, things like that, it just helps boost the confidence of everyone on the team.

It's one of things. A couple things happen, a couple guys score -- things start to snowball.
