en Tourism demand for Portland has never been greater. The average occupancy for Portland's downtown hotels last year was nearly 75 percent. Overall, our downtown hotel occupancy grew 9 percent in 2005. That's 6 percent higher than the national average.

en We found that York as a market was underserved when it comes to office space, retail space and restaurants. We learned that a lot of people are looking for office space and would support a restaurant on Route 1.

en The city's analysis is totally contradictory. If the downtown office space is as weak as their pessimistic projections, then the value of these buildings is zero.
